Team Coordination Compression
Multi-Agent and Multi-Researcher Workflows
HYPOTHESIS
Coordinating across ≥3 distinct agents or specialists compresses wall-clock latency for complex interdependent tasks compared to the best matched counterfactual baseline (T_coordinated < T_best_matched_baseline), while holding coordination overhead to ≤20% of total execution time.
Tests whether division of labor across autonomous agents compounds capability or introduces superlinear coordination drag.
KILL CONDITION
Coordinated execution achieves no statistically significant wall-clock latency reduction over the best matched baseline across 20 pre-registered benchmark tasks, or coordination overhead exceeds the time saved by division of labor.
- Falsification metric
- Coordination overhead ratio and task latency delta
